The Morehouse Parish Tract (#03019-03902) is a 331.9-acre (per GIS Estimate) tract of timberland located in Morehouse Parish about five miles north of Bastrop, LA (North 32.84735°, West 91.91031°). About 166 acres were planted in 2001 with Loblolly Pine and have been first-thinned; another 67 acres feature a mixture of pine and hardwood established in 2004. These pine areas have a generally well-drained upland topography. The vast majority of the property features 93 acres of mixed hardwood timber with Bayou Bartholomew, a scenic Louisiana river, flowing through in a southerly direction along the northwestern side. Access is available with a gated road running from Palmetto Road up to the south side of the property via an old RR grade. The property contains a diverse assortment of both merchantable planted pine stands as well as hardwood bottomland hunting areas.
