A remarkable survivor from old Bethel: two small wooden 18th century homes adjoined in 1833, one from the present site and one moved from across the road. The back ell was added in 1872. The house was moved back on the site and raised in 2012 to accommodate careful structural restoration, including a new foundation, wiring, and plumbing. Good solid maple and spruce tongue-and - groove flooring downstairs. Wide spruce boards upstairs. Early windows and doors. This home has been lovingly restored and well worth making an appointment to view it.
