Located in the country-coastal town of Little Compton, Rhode Island, Young Family Farm is truly an iconic location along the Farm Coast of Southern NE. Encompassing 180 acres, 100 acres are currently used to grow crops. The irrigation system runs for 3/4 of a mile & has eleven hydrants. Every inch of the farm can be irrigated with this system. The irrigation pond was added in 2002. Of the 180 acres, approximately 60 acres are currently forest. There is also a drilled well that is approximately 280 feet deep. The potato/vegetable storage building is computerized & is state of the art.
While top soil depth is usually twelve inches or so, on Young Family Farm’s runs 28 or 29 inches deep. The property includes a 5 acre fishing pond.
